About Detroit Design

In the 80s I studied graphic design, technical drawing, scientific illustration, photography and
print technology. I have had a long career in print design to the present day.

 

My profession has gone through dramatic changes in to the digital age but many of my more 'craft-based' skills are still pertinent to today's industry. I still 'make' dummies of folders and more complex things
to ensure they are right!

 

Painting is my antidote to the fast-paced print life I have led,
there is no deadline (usually), no AI, no right and wrong, just my interpretation.
